Who We Are

AceTek College is a Registered Training Provider (RTP) that is registered under SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). It is also a private education institute that is registered with the Committee of Private Education (CPE) and holds the EduTrust Provisional Award. The Registered Training Provider status enables the College to provide government-supported upskilling and training opportunities for Singaporeans and residents. Moreover, the College delivers a wide range of CPE-registered diploma qualifications and short courses that can help aspiring professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management

Course Synopsis

The Higher Diploma in Hospitalit y Management program equips students with advanced skills and knowledge to navigate the dynamic hospitalit y landscape, integrating theoretical expertise with practical experience and technology . Through a technology -integrated curriculum, students explore innovative solutions across key hospitality areas and a deep understanding of the role of technology in shaping the future of hospitality.

Course Modules

This module aims to develop students’ academic research and writing skills, including data analysis and the utilization of digital resources for academic purposes. This module covers academic English, primary and secondary research, listening and reading
strategies, referencing, and crafting research proposals.

This module aims to develop students’ understanding of communication in organizations, emphasizing communication in the context of technology, including virtual meetings, email etiquette, and digital communication tools. Students will explore communication models, communication styles, body language, oral communication, and written communication. Students will also learn English for the hospitality industry.

This module equips students with knowledge of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in hospitality. Students will learn how to incorporate technology for inventory management, maintenance tracking, and guest service optimization in housekeeping operations.

This module provides learners with a basic understanding of the world of electronic commerce. Learners will learn how to leverage on website and social media tools such as facebook, youtube, twitter and Instagram to promote Hospitality product and services.

This module aims to equip students with recruitment and selection processes, oversee employee performance management, facilitate training and development initiatives, and cultivate a positive workplace environment. Utilize HR software for streamlined payroll management, performance reviews, and employee training.

This module equips students with knowledge of menu planning and costing, oversee food and beverage inventory management, optimize service and operations, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Acquire knowledge in contactless ordering and payment systems. Analyze guest preferences and food trends through online platforms.

This module covers plan for facility maintenance needs, manage energy consumption, understand safety protocols, and implement sustainable practices.

Participation in an industrial attachment (IA) is mandatory and forms an essential component of the course. In the event that a student is unable to secure a suitable internship due to circumstances beyond the college’s control, the alternative requirement will be the completion of a Project Work (Project in lieu of IA will be of 3 months duration).

COLLEGE PTE. LTD. Which is non-refundable under all circumstances. All fees stated are inclusive of 9% GST.

Fee Protection Scheme

ACETEK provides fee protection scheme to all students as required by CPE and is aligned with Eduimmi Singapore requirement.

ENTRY & GRADUATION REQUIREMENT FOR THE PROGRAM

Local

Minimum Age :At least 17 years of age. 

Academic Qualication: 

  • -3 GCE ‘A’ Level credits (at minimum C6 Grade or equivalent) or equivalent qualifications may be recognized on a case-to-case basis, or 
  • -Mature candidates aged 30 years old and above with minimum 8 years working experience. 
  • English Proficiency:
  • -C6 grade in GCE O'Level or 
  • -Pass AceTek English Test.

International

Minimum Age :At least 17 years of age.
Academic Qualication :
-Completed 12 years of formal education or
-Mature candidates aged 30 years old and above with minimum 8 years working experience.
English Prociency:
-Pass in English Language in year 10 or equivalent or
-Passed AceTek’s English Placement Test.

Mode of Delivery: Face-to-face
Teacher to Student Ratio: 1:45
Assessment Method:
Students will be assessed by Project and Assignments.
Graduation Criteria and Awarded:
Students who have successfully completed the course by passing every module will be awarded the Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management by AceTek College.

Full Tim e (12 months ) Classroom Training ( 6 months ) + Industrial Attachment ( 6 months ) The Industrial Attachment is subject to the approval and issuance of a Training Work Permit by the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore.

Students must attend at least 75% of the scheduled classes to be eligible for assessment. International students with a valid Student’s Pass must maintain a 90% monthly class attendance. Continuous absence for seven days or falling below the 90% threshold without valid reason, will lead to Student's Pass cancellation.
